Naan Indian Bread at Lotus SF

Is it Chapati? Is it Pita? Naan of the above!

Never tried naan before? Naan is leavened, oven-baked flatbread native to India. It resembles pita bread but unlike pita, it has yogurt, milk, sometimes eggs or butter which makes it softer than pita bread. Our bakers shape it into a ball and slap it on the walls of our tandoor (clay oven).

Traditional Naan consists of flour, salt, yeast and yogurt to make a smooth and elastic dough. We serve it with many flavors to enjoy “as is” or to dip in different sauces. It can also substitute for pizza dough. It’s a great appetizer or snack with flavors such as:

  • Pesto
  • Garlic
  • Keema

And even more flavors here.

We also serve gluten free Naan! All Lotus Family restaurant menus are over 95{269115d5b06cdbe581a39785ba79f853761b0c20282cf395fc25f658c34e6e88} gluten free. A gluten free diet excludes the protein gluten. Gluten is found in many grains such as wheat, barley, rye and triticale.
